LOOKING GLASS FALLS
Note: On the first leg of your trip to visit all these falls, take the Blue Ridge Parkway towards Asheville to the US 276 exit. After exiting the Parkway turn right (south) on US 276. Sliding Rock and Looking Glass Falls are located on US 276. You have to drive a little further for the rest. Stay on US 276 to US 64, and turn south. Turn right on NC 281 to Whitewater Falls, then backtrack to US 64. You can visit Cullasaja Falls, Dry Falls, and Bridal Veil Falls from US 64. To see Courthouse Falls, stay o US 64 to US 215 and turn north.
South on US 276, Looking Glass Falls can be seen from the left side of the road. There is ample parking at the top of the falls, and you can take the paved stairway to the bottom if you wish.
Factoid - When the falls become frozen, the surface of the cliffs reflects sunlight to resemble a looking glass.
